The Elder Scrolls Online is famous for the build variety it provides, especially for an MMO game. It’s the game where you can run a totally viable dual-wielding mage, a rogue that tanks the front lines, or a mace healer (well, that’s a bit harder i guess).

With such complexity it’s only natural to have so many different item sets to choose from, providing either raw damage & attributes, or offering a unique angle to your build with powerful procs!

The ESO Wiki has done a great job of listing all sets and providing some filters (and that’s where we get our data from), but as you get more experience in the game, it’s clear that the only helpful way of browsing builds, is based on the attribute combination you’re going for.

Helpful Notes

Most sets that you can acquire by crafting, require you to have unlocked a certain number of traits for each item, before you are able to craft them. For example, Mechanical Acuity is a set that you can craft in Clockwork City, and requires 6 traits. That means that to craft Medium Mechanical Acuity Helmets, you need to know 6 traits from Medium Helmets. So in other words, knowing 6 traits for medium helmets, will only unlock medium helmets, you need 6 traits for breeches if you want to craft breeches and so on.

In case you haven’t met the term before, “proc” is an ability that has a percentage of triggering, depending on the requirements.

What’s with 666 in so many item numbers? Zenimax? Bethesda? Or is it just the power of the number? Now that I’m thinking about magiCKa.. Well, I’m not one to blame them, being a guild owner of Black Wings of Sathanas \m/

    Is there a pack of mods that can just be downloaded at once? For someone who is new or returning to end game content? All of the mods individually are daunting. I really feel like Zenimax should work with the addon makers and community to make some sort of basic addon pack. From a noob’s perspective, this is confusing as hell.

      I agree Charlie, the same thing has actually been going on my mind too. I’m reworking this list as we speak, preparing for the Blackwood expansion, and I’ll see if I can provide a direct download from our server with a couple modlists (maybe lite & full). Updating all of them through Minion is pretty easy, so I think it’s a good idea!
