Metroid Prime Trilogy is a compilation of previously released GameCube games with the addition of one Wii-exclusive game completing the trilogy. Both Metroid Prime 1 and 2 controls have been completely changed to adapt to the Wii motion controls offering a new experience and a good excuse to replay the games. The three-game follows the adventure of Samus over different foreign planets surviving harsh environments and fighting off bizarre alien creatures.

The prime trilogy took a different approach compared to previous games in the series offering a first-person shooter with the same mechanics as the 2d Metroid. For example, Samus still has its full battle suit with different weapons and morph ball transforming, the game is more complicated with heavy puzzle elements the player will find himself scanning objects and going back and forth with backtracking to open new areas or find new abilities. While many gamers will find Metroid Prime a kind of departure from the 2d Metroidvania genre this trilogy has so much to offer if you can look at it as its own unique thing.

Link’s Crossbow Training is a third-person shooter game taking advantage of the Wii zapper accessory and the Wii motion technology. The player takes control of Link as he ventures through several locations from The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess.

Each stage is timed and the goal is to shoot down as many objects as possible to earn points, there are three types of game modes: target shooting where the game turns into an on-rail shooter moving you automatically across the stage shooting different targets. The defender where you play in a third-person view moving on a circle controlling link shooting at waves of enemies, and finally ranger mode where you have complete control over link shooting enemies and moving from area to area. Graphic wise the game looks pretty awesome for its time. Overall, despite the game being on the short side, the game is well worth it offering fun gameplay and amazing controls.

Call Of Duty World At War is a World War First Person Shooter game, World At War marks the fifth game in the Call Of Duty franchise. The story takes place in several locations during the World War II era, the game story is based on several historical battles involving Americans, the Japanese empire, German Nazis, and the soviet union.

World At War generally plays just like its previous predecessors but the art direction was showing more of a realistic view of the brutal WWII era, showing some of the goriest and most brutal scenes on a shooter game to date. Gameplay wise the Wii version uses motion controls with the combination of the Wii mote and the analog stick, fair not as the developer made sure to perfect the experience with tight and responsive controls. Honestly, if you want more of a mature shooter experience World At War is definitely worth a try.
