Turok Evolution is a prequel that recounts the adventures of Tal’Set and his struggles through the Lost Land. This game was the latest main instalment in the dinosaur-hunting Turok franchise before its 2008 reboot, which was tragically the nail in the coffin for the series. Consequently, nothing new about the series has been heard ever since.
Turok Evolution takes players on a journey fraught with dangers to overcome and dinosaurs to shoot. Retaining much of what made the originals incredible to go through, Turok Evolution is a fast-paced first-person shooter. The gameplay nudges players to quickly move from one corner to another as they shoot goons left and right. Dinosaurs in the game will show no mercy even on the easiest difficulty, something which makes the game challenging even for the most battle-hardened FPS veterans.
If you’re looking for a game with Dinosaurs to shoot, Turok Evolution is a game you should check out. If you didn’t like it, You can always try the Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok® 2 Seeds of Evil™ which are superior products.

DICE is one of the many anime shows plenty of us grew up watching on Animax. At that time, DICE was a special outing that glued us to the screen until the episode’s end. Now, it’s just another one of those anime shows with Dinosaur Mechs.
The game doesn’t do justice to the source material, and it’s mediocre at best. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not fun. Being on top of a Dinosaur Mech, smashing and mopping the floor with your enemies is fun.
DICE: DNA Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises may not be a mind-blowing game or a revolutionary project by any means. It is serviceable for those seeking to control a Dinosaur Mech, and an attempt to appease fans of the show.

Dino Stalker is a forgotten spin-off instalment of the emblematic Dino Crisis franchise by Capcom. Unlike the survival horror nature of its predecessors, Dino Stalker is an intense rail shooter. The goal is to shoot down any threat on screen, including, of course, dinosaurs.
Take on the role of Mike Wired as a USAAF Pilot First Lieutenant and try to survive a showdown with one of the deadliest creatures earth has ever faced. Dinosaurs will pop out on-screen, and all you have to do is gun down each one last of them. Things can get pretty intense towards the end with dinosaurs quickly filling the screen, which forces players to quicken their reflexes.
Fans of anything rail-shooting-related should check out Dino Stalker. It has something for everyone.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a movie-licensed game that bears the same name as the film. Surprisingly, this is one of the many movie-licensed games by Activision that don’t suck. The game is an attempt to emulate the movie and the result is interesting. At times it’s an action brawler with platformer elements, and the other time it sees players escaping from Momma Dino.
Players take control of various characters from the movie. For instance, Sid while the player guides him through multiple levels, Scrat once again on his futile errand to collect acorns, or Buck as you whip any enemy that comes your way.
If you’re into movie-licensed games, and especially the better ones, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs should tickle your fancy.

Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game Of The Movie is the perfect example of a movie-licensed game done right. It doesn’t copy the movie word by word, nor does it veer too far from the crux of the movie. Even years after its initial release, the game boasts itself as a cult classic every gamer should experience at least once.
Players take control of Jack Driscoll along with his love interest, Ann Darrow and a ship crew to Skull Island. The goal was to visit the place, shoot some footage for a movie and get out. However, things quickly turn for the worst when a barbaric tribe appears. Consequently, Ann Darrow is kidnapped and offered to King Kong as a sacrifice. Jack and his mates take it upon their shoulders to find and rescue Ann Darrow from the clutches of King Kong.
The game is an action-packed first-person shooter with elements from the survival horror genre. Players will encounter all different kinds of creatures, from large centipedes, and flying bats to giant vehement dinosaurs. However, the game’s selling point is controlling King Kong himself as you fight your way through hundreds of dinosaurs to save Ann.

Monster Hunter may just be the perfect dinosaur game on this list. It’s an action RPG that sees players venturing across the land to fight dinosaurs of different sizes. Monster Hunter is also one of the few games that let players make dinner out of a dinosaur. We’ve always wondered how their meat tastes though.
It may come as a surprise to many, but the PlayStation 2 was the starting point for the Monster Hunter franchise before it grew to be the massive success it is today. It’s never too late to experience the originals on the PS2. Or better yet, you can always opt for the enhanced port on the PSP.
If somehow you end up loving the game, you can always give the franchise a shot as well.

Jurassic: The Hunted is among the lesser-known games on the PS2, which may be due to its exclusive release in the United States and the unimpressive box cover. However, the game does offer a considerable number of dinosaurs, even though there isn’t much substance beyond that.
The game puts you in the shoes of Craig Dylan, a former navy seal on a rescue mission. You along with your team members must locate a missing scientist, but to find him, you will have to go through a slew of ferocious dinosaurs.
Jurassic: The Hunted is a mediocre FPS, due to the repeated patterns; walk some miles, a new dinosaur shows up, shoot it down and you’re done. The game tries to be as interesting as it can be by implementing a bullet-time gauge, which helps tremendously against multiple hostiles. Sadly, however, that doesn’t illuminate the fact that Jurassic: The Hunted is just a mediocre endeavour.
However, if you’re like me, and you do enjoy hunting obscure games, then you should definitely check this game out. Be informed that it is an easily forgettable experience.
That’s it for the list. Thank you for reading.
