The Dying Light series is a survival horror action-adventure video game franchise. Both games act as a first-person action-adventure games set in a post-apocalyptic open world overrun by a vicious zombie-like virus. Back 4 Blood is a first-person zombie shooter game, the game takes huge influence from Left 4 Dead borrowing a lot of elements from the game. Back 4 Blood takes place in a post-apocalyptic world swarmed by zombie-like creatures known as The Ridden, you play as one of a group of survivors trying to survive this mess.

The game features up to eight predefined playable characters with different abilities and stats. New to the game is the cards feature, these random cards offer the player a rogue-like experience changing gameplay features on every level. Overall, while the game doesn’t meet the classic left 4 dead greatness, it’s still a great co-op game to play with friends and family on a good Friday night.

State Of Decay is a sandbox survival game with elements of stealth and TPS. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, you lead a small community of survivors managing and collecting resources while fighting off dangerous zombies lurking in the streets.

The player has the choice to choose from a different location to build his base, you start off with a small base and then proceed to expand it with new resources and building materials. Outside of your base, you can interact with other NPCs for information, trades, and new objectives. Building relationships with other NPCs outside of your group can lead t recruiting them later in the game. Up to 100 weapons can be found over the course of the game including melee and firearms, all weapons have a durability time and will eventually break. Overall State of Decay is a good change from your typical zombie games especially if you like managing resources and building bases.

State Of Decay 2 is a survival zombie game, acting as a follow-up to its prequel holding the same name. The main enemies in the game are the zombies, in addition to normal zombies further updates to the game introduced special zombies with greater abilities. Fighting is mostly meleed with the ability to use guns from time to time. Overall, State of Decay is a great example of a simple idea done right and later perfected with the developer’s constant updates.

Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare is a standalone expansion pack of the famous wild west open world game developed by Rockstar Games. Similar to the main game you shoot your enemies (zombies and hostile humans) from a third-person perspective, all weapons from the main game are available here. The main goal here is to liberate each town from the zombie attacks allowing you to unlock missions in the same town and progress further in the story. In a word, Undead Nightmare holds up very well compared to the main game offering an amazing story and a great excuse to return to the world of Red Dead Redemption.
