The Krogdalo horse set is currently the best horse gear set available in Black Desert Online at the moment, so as expected it’s also the most difficult set to acquire. There are three different sets, named after the 3 elements: wind, water (sea), and earth, and they offer additional set effects when you have 3, 4 or 5 pieces equipped.
Their best bonuses are Damage Reduction +3 and Evasion +3 to 10 allies for 60 minutes, AP +5 to 10 allies for 60 minutes, or Max HP/Stamina +100 to 10 allies for 60 minutes.
And to make the game good for the little ones, the Krogdalo donkey set, also known as the dream donkey set, was released. If you equip all 5 items of the same set, it grants Life EXP +10% for you and up to 9 party members for 60 minutes.

I have not listed most of the ingredients here separately because they are relatively easy to access on the marketplace. If you are now thinking about which set is how hard to get, I would set up the order from the easiest to the hardest: it’s Wind, Earth, and finally the Sea.
Supreme Soft Hide & Supreme Hard Hide: To craft Supreme Soft Hide, use Shaking with 3 Fine Soft Hide and 5 Leather Glaze (for Supreme Hard Hide it’s the same, but you need 3 Fine Hard Hide instead of Soft Hide). You can buy soft hides and hard hides easily from the Marketplace. What makes it more difficult is the Leather Glaze, as it is made with alchemy (you need to place an alchemy tool for your residence) from 1 Clear Liquid Reagent, 3 Maple Sap, 3 Trace of Ascension, and 2 Powder of Darkness. These ingredients can also be easily taken, except for the Trace of Ascension. I got enough trace for the full wind set after roughly 2 weeks of a continuous preorder, so if you patiently pack the preorders, you can get them relatively quickly. The slower solution is to place a worker on a Republic of Calpheon node and wait weeks to excavate them. You can only craft these items if you have at least Artisan 1 Processing level.
Wind Spirit Stone Fragments: The best way to obtain Wind Spirit Stone Fragments, is to grind Navarn Steppe birds. Simply go to Navarn Steppe (next to Old Wisdom Tree) and kill the birds here. My favorite rotation is directly located below the Navarn Steppe icon on the map. There are good numbers of birds located here, start to attack the Ferricas (the blue looking, male ones) first, and the Ferrinas (the yellow looking, female ones) will start attacking you automatically. I got enough fragments for the whole Wind-set in 10 hours, using blue scrolls.
Water Spirit Stone Fragments: You can grind for water fragments at Manshaum Forest or Polly’s Forest. I suggest Polly’s Forest, maybe it’s faster than Manshaums. I think it would be wise to use drop scrolls.
Earth Spirit Stone Fragments: You can grind for earth fragments at Navarn Steppe or Tooth Fairy Forest. The best spot is the western border at Navarn Steppe, the Feather Wolves have a pretty good drop, but you can also obtain fragments from Elephants or Leopards.
Sycrid’s Song: You can obtain Sycrid’s Song at a low rate in Sycraia Underwater Ruins and Protty Cave. Unfortunately, I have no personal experience in acquiring it, but I know it can take weeks or months, depending on the RNG.
Karanda’s Latent Aura: Auras can be obtained primarily to defeat Karanda (this is a world boss, you can check its spawn times here), occasionally 1-2 pieces, but Stormwind Karanda gives a little more auras. Besides that, you can exchange your Shining Medal for Honor (x6 for 1 aura) for auras, or your Dark’s Spirit Greeds (x3 for 1 aura) what you got for destroying the Dark Rifts.
Offin Tett’s Light Fragment: You can obtain light fragments primarily to defeat Mirumok Destroyer Offin (this is a world boss, you can check its spawn times here). Besides that, you can exchange your Shining Medal for Honor (x4 for 1 fragment) for fragments. Yes, it will be a bit time-consuming process.
The Krogdalo donkey set is currently the best donkey set available in the game so far. I would like to point out in advance that it is not easy to obtain and takes a relatively long time. But why is it worth it anyway? Because of the set bonus, which gives you and your 9 allies a +10% Life EXP bonus for 60 minutes.
First of all, for each piece, you need to collect Iridescent Pebbles, which are only obtained via Papua Crinea Island, west of Loopy Tree Forest, Kamasylvia. It follows that in order to obtain such an item, you must complete the whole Lamute Gang’s Adventure Log Journal books.

You can only pick up daily quests once you have completed the whole Lamute Gang’s Adventure Log Journal books! You can track daily quests if you open the ‘O’ tab, then select the Recurring tab, and scrolling down to the [Lv. 58] Grandiha & Papua Crinea title.

Lamute Gang coins can be exchanged for both rainbow coins (1 for 1) with the Node Manager of Papua Crinea, Benns Lamute.
Iridescent Pebbles are the poison teeth of the set. This set is so rare because it takes a lot of perseverance and a lot of time to get it all out. If you haven’t finished the Lamute Gang’s Adventure Log Journal books yet, be sure to start with that. Even with this, you can easily get into trouble because it is also a time consuming process and you even need a help of a party in the end. But when this is done, there is nothing left but to take your alts on the two islands, and start the dailies.
I would say HF, but i would rather wish you perseverance!
You can craft your gear pieces in Stonetail Horse Ranch’s Horse Gear Workshop (located at Mediah Territory). The workshop must be upgraded into a 3 level workshop.
In total, it costs 5 contribution points plus the chain from Heidel, Altinova, or Tariff.
You have to connect a workshop with the city from which you will send the workers and the city storage where you will place the raw materials. They must be in the same city!
Each piece is enhanced with Black Stones (Armor) and Concentrated Magical Black Stones (Armor). The missing durability can be refilled with Memory Fragments.
