Elder Scrolls Online expansions & DLCs form the core of the content updates for ESO, and with so many of them available, it’ s hard to keep track of what each one offers. This list aims to help you keep track of every expansion’s main features, and whether it’s worth adding to your collection next!
Personally, I just keep an active ESO plus subscription, as I find it more convenient and honest compared to buying a new DLC every 3 months! ESO Plus unlocks all DLC content while you’re active, so you can simply have the full experience at any moment. Of course Chapter Expansions are not included with ESO plus, you will have to buy them separately, or wait a couple of years until they are included in the base version of the game.
There are a few DLC that are more worth getting than others, considering the features they unlock. Namely, the best pack you can get for some peace of mind even when not having an active ESO plus sub, is the “Guilds And Glory” pack from the Crown Store, which includes Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood, which provide you with access to 2 important Guilds & Skill Lines, an open world PvP zone & the 1st arena in ESO.
Most of ESO DLCs provide 2 additional dungeons & gear sets, a new zone packed with quests, new items & collectibles or something a bit more special!
