Event 4. Guardian EXP Share Event

Period: January 22 (after maintenance)–February 5 (before maintenance)

During the event period, you can tag your Guardian with a sub-character. It will gain all of the amount of the EXP your Guardian (main character) obtains (excluding EXP boosts) until your sub-character is at 99% of Lv. 59.

1. Click the “Tag Characters” icon on the top left of the screen.
2. Select any sub-character to share the EXP obtained by your Guardian (main character) and click the “Tag” button (you can Untag as well).

*Please note both characters must be in the same town to be tagged.

3. After tagging, when you acquire Combat/Skill EXP with your main character, EXP will be stored for the tagged sub-character as well.
4. The tagged sub-character will receive 100% of the Combat/Skill EXP gained by the Guardian (main character).
5. Adventurers can claim the Combat/Skill EXP stored in the “Character’s Tag Setting” window by pressing the “Get EXP” button after logging in to the tagged sub-character (the EXP stored prior to the end of the event will not disappear, therefore you will be able to claim the stored EXP after the event ends).

Event Notice for EXP Share Event

[Common]

  • No additional Combat/Skill EXP will be stored for tagging after the event period ends. However, any unclaimed EXP stored prior to the end of the event will not disappear, therefore you will be able to claim the stored EXP anytime.
  • You can switch to the tagged character anywhere you want. However, you cannot switch while in the desert or the ocean.
  • Characters can be tagged with the Guardian character to receive the EXP by being in a Safe Zone (Excluding Kusha, Abun, and Muiquun) with either the character you want to receive the EXP or with the Guardian. However, you can only untag after claiming the Combat/Skill EXP stored for the character.
  • Normally you can only tag characters when you have at least one character within the Family above Lv. 56. However, for the Guardian EXP share event, you can tag characters as long as you have a Lv. 7 or higher Guardian character.

[Guardian-related (main character)]

  • After a character is tagged with the Guardian, only the Combat/Skill EXP gained through defeating monsters with the Guardian character can be shared. (EXP gained through Black Spirit’s Training, quests, and Marni’s Stone do not count).
  • Combat/Skill EXP gained through boosts, such as a Secret Book of Old Moon, Value Pack, Book of Combat, or Extra Combat EXP Scroll, can be stored by the tagged Guardian.
  • While tagged, the Guardian can be at any level to store Combat/Skill EXP for the tagged sub-character (However, there are limitations to the tagged sub-character. Please refer to the notes below under ‘Sub-character related’).
  • Even if the Guardian did not complete the quest to reach Lv. 50, the Guardian can still store EXP for the tagged character. (For previous users, it is the [To Level 50!] Giant Catfishman Qoobe quest, and for new users, it is the [To Level 50!] Breaking New Ground quest.)
  • You cannot use Black Spirit’s Training while tagged. However, note that the Book of Training items can still be used in this state. If you’d like to use Black Spirit’s Training, please untag your character first.
  • The Combat EXP you lose when you die as the Guardian does not affect the EXP already stored for the tagged sub-character.

[Sub-character related]

  • After a character is tagged with the Guardian, only Combat/Skill EXP gained through defeating monsters with the Guardian character can be shared. (EXP gained through Black Spirit’s Training, quests, and Marni’s Stone do not count).
  • The stored Combat/Skill EXP can only be shared with the character who is tagged to the Guardian. You can claim the stored EXP with the tagged character by logging in as the tagged character, and then by clicking on the ‘Get EXP’ button in the Tag window.
  • The Combat/Skill EXP boosts from Secret Book of Old Moon, Value Pack, Book of Combat, or Extra Combat EXP Scroll will not affect the tagged sub-character when claiming the stored Combat/Skill EXP.
  • EXP gained in a Party will be shared. In addition, Olvia server buff and Fever Time buffs will also be shared.
  • Sub-characters up to Lv. 59 can receive the stored Combat EXP.
The tagged sub-characters cannot receive Combat EXP beyond the amount needed for reaching Lv. 59. This means if a tagged sub-character has more than enough EXP to reach Lv 59, whatever extra EXP remains beyond Lv. 59 will be lost.
  • Skill EXP will continue to be shared regardless of the tagged sub-character’s level.
  • If the tagged sub-character levels up beyond Lv. 50 through shared EXP, this character will not be able to gain more Combat EXP until the character completes the quest to reach Lv. 50 (For previous users, it is the [To Level 50!] Giant Catfishman Qoobe quest, and for new users, it is the [To Level 50!] Breaking New Ground quest.)
