Black Desert Online - Spooky Witchy Halloween!

Halloween is coming and we hope you have been waiting for the spookiest bosses to doom the world of Black Desert Online. Defeat Spook and Isabella the Black Witch and challenge yourself to Halloween-themed challenges for some of the coolest rewards.

Stay tuned for brand new Halloween events prepared for this year coming up next week!

Event 1. Spook is Back

Period: October 21 (after maintenance)–November 4 (before maintenance)

• During the spooky Halloween event period, Spook will swarm the entire world of Black Desert Online and spawn at random times and random places!
  • Spook will not appear in Valencia regions. Also, Spook will not appear at sea or underwater regions.
  • ‘<Weakened> Spook’ will appear near adventurers of Lv. 55 and below, whereas ‘Spook’ will spawn for adventurers of Lv. 56 and above.
  • Spook and <Weakened> Spook will drop the same items.
  • Once you engage in combat with Spook, it will disappear 10 minutes after the combat starts. If unattacked, Spook will despawn in 10 minutes.
• Obtain 1 of the following items below for defeating Spook:
  • The quantity of the item dropped may vary

• Collect *[Event] Black Fabric x10 and exchange them with the listed NPCs to obtain various Design Bundles for Craftable Costumes.

• Garnier Troupe Garb can be worn by all classes except for Shai class.
• Jordine’s Casual Wear and Valencian Travel Wear can be worn only with male classes.
• Jarette’s Armor and Black Leopard Armor can be worn by all female classes except for the Shai class.

Event 1 Notice

• Halloween event bosses will only appear during the event period. Only one of Spook event bosses will appear for an Adventurer at a time.

• Halloween event bosses will appear on special servers (Olvia and Arsha servers) as well. However, they will not spawn at sea or underwater regions.
• You will not suffer death penalties if you get killed by Spook or <Weakened> Spook.
• [Event] Black Fabric will not be removed even after the event ends and you will be able to exchange the item through the relevant NPCs.

Event 2. Defeat Isabella the Black Witch!

Period: October 21 (after maintenance)–November 4 (before maintenance)

• Gueldia the White Witch needs your help in defeating Isabella the Black Witch again. Help Gueldia and get rewarded for your bravery!
  • [Event] My Dark Half is available once per family during the event period.
  • Witch’s Bloody Brooch must be handed over to Gueldia in order to fully complete the quest and receive completion rewards.

• Isabella the Black Witch is spawned at a fixed time and her HP is shared among all servers.
  • Isabella the Black Witch does not spawn in Arsha and Olvia Servers. Isabella does spawn in Season servers however.
  • Once Isabella the Black Witch appears, PvP will not be allowed for 15 minutes.
  • Please refer to the table below for the appearance time of Isabella the Black Witch.
    • Time subject to change when Daylight Savings ends for the EU regions on October 25, 2020. Please refer to the UTC time for accurate appearance time.

Event 2 Notice

• The event quest is available once per family during the event period.
• [Event] My Dark Half will not be deleted after the event period ends, but even if you have this accepted, Isabella the Black Witch will no longer spawn after the event period. Thus, please note you cannot complete the quest [Event] My Dark Half in progress after the event period.
• Please mind the different appearance time of Isabella the Black Witch for each region. The appearance times of Isabella for each region took into consideration spawn time of other world bosses, Conquest and Node War times of each region, Tribute Wagon times, and etc.
• There is no death penalty for dying against Isabella the Black Witch, so you can challenge her freely.

Event 3. Halloween Challenges

Period: October 22 (00:00 UTC)–November 4 (23:59 UTC)

[For All Adventurers]

• Play daily and get the rewards below via the Challenge tab (Y) based on your accumulated playtime.
  • The event challenge is available once per day for in-game family.
  • The event challenge resets daily at 00:00 UTC.
  • The rewards stack, so if you play 120 minutes in a single day, you will get all the available rewards for that day.

• After you have obtained the items, combine [Event] Halloween Doll x1 and [Event] Halloween Doll Gift Wrap x1 in your Inventory (I) to get [Event] Halloween Doll Gift Set.
  • Uncheck Auto Arrange in your Inventory (I)
  • Arrange [Event] Halloween Doll x1 and [Event] Halloween Doll Gift Wrap x1 in a [–] shape, in consecutive manner.
  • Press the [ + ] button to get [Event] Halloween Doll Gift Set!

Event 3 Notice 

• Event-related items will not be deleted even after the event period ends.
• The event challenge is available once per day for in-game family and it resets daily at 00:00 UTC.

Event 4. Halloween Quests

Period: October 21 (after maintenance)–November 4 (before maintenance)

Don’t miss the additional event quests prepared exclusively for this haunted season!

• All quests below except for the quest [Event] Sweep the Road for Sweet Jack O’ Lantern can be completed once per family during the entire event period. [Event] Sweep the Road for Sweet Jack O’ Lantern is a daily recurring quest and can be completed once per day per family.
• [Event] Undamaged Pumpkin obtained during the event period will all be deleted after the event period ends.

Bonus Quest!

• When night falls in the world of Black Desert Online, Mischievous Jacks will appear in each town! Accept and complete the daily recurring quest from the NPCs listed to recover energy and get contribution EXP.
  • The special quest can be completed once per day per family during the event period.
  • This quest will reset daily at 00:00 UTC.
  • You can only accept and complete this event quest from one of the quest NPCs listed below. Once you complete the quest, you cannot accept it again from another NPC during the same day.
  • The special quest will be deleted after the event ends, and all quests in progress will also be deleted. Please make sure to complete the event quest during the event period before the regular maintenance on November 4.

Event 4 Notice

• Please mind the different quest completion requirements for each quest. Note some quests can be completed only once during the entire event period whilst others may be completed once per day per family.

Event 5. Halloween Adventure Logs

Period: October 21 (after maintenance)–November 4 (before maintenance)

• Halloween Adventure Logs from last year will be available again for this event period! Complete various tasks with these Adventure Logs and get cool rewards!
  • Check ESC > Adventure Log to check out this special adventure log.
  • However, if you had already completed the Halloween Adventure Logs from last year (2019), you cannot participate in this one again.

Event 5 Notice

• Halloween Adventure Logs can be completed once per in-game family and can only be completed during the event period.
• Open Fine Accessory Box III to randomly obtain one of the following: Black Distortion Earring, Tungrad Necklace, Tungrad Ring, Tungrad Belt, Tungrad Earring.

• Reward items given out during events can be bound or not depending on the items and some cannot be moved or restored.
  • Please refer to the individual item descriptions for more detailed information.
