Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons - The 3rd Expansion's Release Date

Arena Net decided to celebrate Guild Wars 2’s 8th anniversary with a special trailer, for the 3rd expansion that was recently announced on March 12, 2020. Sadly, apart from the team’s promise that they are working hard on it, we haven’t yet received the slightest hint about the content, the story, or the features in End of Dragons.

It’s been a long time since Path of Fire (the 2nd expansion) was released back on September 22, 2017. Even though the game is constantly being updated through the Living World Seasons and the most recent Icebrood Saga, the fanbase has felt for long that the game is “dying” due to no further expansions being announced, and the future of the game being uncertain.

There were even rumors for Guild Wars 3, but it’s safe to assume that won’t be happening for a long time. Personally I’m happy about that, as I believe that MMORPGs should always be updated and adopt new technologies, instead of releasing sequels and letting the older games die.

We will update this post as soon as we get more information about the content updates in End of Dragons, and of course, when we get a release date from Arena Net. Until then, enjoy the short teaser that was posted on August 25, 2020:
