Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes is a 2.5D fighting video game, the game act as a retelling or reboot of the Ultimate Ninja series previously released on PlayStation 2 devices. While the story here is shallow, the game focuses more on the gameplay with a decent cast of playable characters.

We got here all of Konoha’s teams including some of the sensei like Kakashi and Maito Gai. You can also unlock the three Sannine later in the game and in addition, there are two Akatsuki members, Itachi and Kisame. The gameplay is fairly similar to Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 where the goal of each round is to attack your opponent using various Taijutsu and Ninjutsu attacks. You can also use several weapons and power-ups scattered across the stage.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2: The Phantom Fortress takes the same formula as the previous game and adds a story to it. Unfortunately, it is not canon; the game takes a different path, telling a whole new filler story. The game’s major gimmick is the new Castle Dusk; by visiting this mysterious castle, Naruto and his friend must climb the castle floor and face numerous difficulties in order to unravel the castle mystery.

This sequel adds new difficulties such as climbing trees, mimicking Shikamaru by pressing particular buttons, riddles, and a slot machine. However, the major focus remains on battling, and while many characters retain the same attack scheme, a handful has received new techniques and super attacks.

The greatest game in the Ultimate Ninja Heroes trilogy is Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3. The game features numerous fighters, as well as a genuine story mode that begins after the time skip and ends with the last battle between Sasuke and Itachi.

The game includes almost 50 playable characters from the post-time-skip era. New special attacks and awakenings vastly boost each character. The combat system is nothing new, after all, it’s the same engine. The game offers a side-scrolling 2.5d fighter where the goal is to target your opponent and bring down his hp to 0. You can do this by combining normal attacks, weapons-based attacks, or even using some items like poison, explosive tags, and more.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact might have been different, but different doesn’t always mean bad. The game adopts a different approach, transforming the series into a beat-em-up in the style of Musou games. The game adapts Naruto Shippuden’s tale, but the main selling point is recreating Pain’s legendary arc.

The game is presented from a third-person perspective, where you control one of many characters from the Naruto universe. The main goal is to clear the map from hundreds of Ninja enemies, sometime you’ll need to free an area or even beat down a boss to progress through the story. The game offers over 50 playable characters with detailed and genuine technique and awakening. Overall, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact is one of the best Naruto games on the system if not the best, if you slept over this one it might be time to relive the Naruto story through this amazing game.

Naruto Shippuden: Legends Akatsuki Rise is the third entry in the Uzumaki Chronicles series and the first to be released on the powerful PSP. The plot revolves around the beginning of Naruto Shippuden when Naruto and his fellow Ninja mates must deal with the second Akatsuki attack on Konoha Village.

The game features a unique mix of beat ’em up and RPG components. The player travels across diverse terrains, using various Taijutsu and Ninjutsu attacks to fight numerous Ninja foes. The game also has a full-fledged leveling system, in which the player can improve their stats and learn new tactics for each playable character. Overall, despite the limited number of playable characters, the game provides a well-balanced combat system with some intriguing RPG features that will keep the player entertained.

Naruto Shippuden: Kizuna Drive is the sequel to Legend Akatsuki Rising, retaining the same game premise but adding an entirely new exclusive story for fans wishing for something different. The game takes set immediately after the Akatsuki suppression mission and has a completely new story. Following a bizarre attack by the Kyubi on the hidden village of Yumegakure, both Konoha and Yumegakure ninja are on the verge of a major war if Konoha does not learn who the mysterious attacking monster is.

The gameplay is very similar to its predecessor, in which you control one of numerous Naruto characters. Each stage’s purpose is to brawl your way through hordes of adversaries while completing the objective stated at the start of each mission. The game also has a leveling system that allows you to empower each character with new attacks and power-ups. While I still prefer canon storylines, I’m sure many people are searching for something new to experience, especially since the Ultimate Ninja series did so well with canon content.
