Old School Runescape - How to Get Fighter Torso - Best Chest for Raids

Fighter Torso is known to be the 2nd best melee chest in the game in terms of strength bonus. Obtaining it is not that easy, but it’s cheaper than buying the 1st best melee chest which is the Bandos Chestplate. That’s why the top players are willing to obtain it mostly to start raids.

To obtain Fighter Torso, you will need to participate in the Barbarian Assault Minigame. So in this guide, i’m going to explain how to play it and what is required to obtain the chest.

How to Get There

Using a Games Necklace will teleport you right in front of the minigame. You can also use the minigame teleport, but it requires you to get there without a teleport for one time.

The minigame consists of 4 roles, these roles are the Defender, the Collector, the Attacker, and the Healer. Once you start the game, you will have to defend 10 waves + the Queen. To obtain the Fighter Torso you will need 375 points in each role + killing the Queen just once.

Use a weapon that allows you to use the four attack styles (Aggressive, Defensive, Accurate, Controlled), like any Scimitar. Get equipped in the best gear posiible and do not use Cape or Runes.

Once you get there, you will find Blackboard which shows your current points and level in each role. And there are Captain Cain and Commander Connad. Captain Cain is capable of showing you how the game works. Commander Connad is the one who gives you the rewards, as well as the Fighter torso we mentioned.

Switch to a Barbarian Assault world, then use the ladder to get downstairs and run all the way to the north. Then move to the west to reach the first room.

When you are inside the first room, start looking for a team by mentioning the role you want in chat. Otherwise, pick a scroll from the table, choose your role and use it on the other players.

Note: if your team was dismissed during a higher wave, you can always run back to the first room and choose to reset the wave.

Attacker Role

When the game starts, use the Horn to call for the color of the eggs that the Collector should pick. You will find which color you should call for at the upper right corner of the screen. If the Collector picks the wrong eggs, he will take damage and lose points. After that, walk all the way to the northwestern corner, wait for the Collector to call for the attack style you should use, then attack the Fighters and Rangers.

If you choose the wrong attack style, you will deal no damage, 2 hitpoints damage will be dealt to you, and you will lose points. So focus and try to get the highest possible points.

Defender Role

When the game starts, use the Horn to call for the type of rotten food that the Healer should use to poison the Healers. You will find which type you should call for at the upper right corner of the screen. After that, walk towards the machine located near the door, and pick food from the blue slot. Then walk all the way to the northeastern corner and try to lure the Runners to the trap located there to prevent them from reaching the southern door.

To lure the runners, you have to wait for the Healer to call for the type of bait you should drop. Try to make a path of baits leading to the trap.

Keep in mind that the trap will be broken after 2 kills, and you will need to fix it. In order to repair it,  pick the two logs and the hammer located near the northern doors, then go back and fix the trap.

Collector Role

When the game starts, use the Horn to call for the attack style that the Attacker should use. You will find which attack style you should call for at the upper right corner of the screen. Wait for the Attacker to call for the color, then collect as many eggs as you can to gain points. After that go to any of the Cannons and store the eggs there and repeat. If you pick the wrong eggs, you will take damage and lose points.

Note: Cannon is used to kill any monster in the room, and you also use it to kill the Queen.

Healer Role

When the game starts, use the Horn to call for the type of food that the Defender should use. Go to the machine near the door, pick the poisonous food from the green slot.

After that use the Vial on the Healer spring on the left to fill it with water which heals allies for 10 points when you use it on them. Wait for the Defender to call for the type of poisonous food you should use on the Healers. Then walk all the way north and start using the poisonous food on them.

The Queen

In this phase, the Collector will be doing nothing but calling for the attack styles until the Queen appears. Once the Queen appears, the Collector will have to pick the 8 yellow eggs only which are dropped around the Queen.

The job of the Healer when the Queen appears is to heal everyone as fast as possible since the queen will be dealing high damage to everyone. The rest of the players should stay near the Healer spring.

After picking the eggs, the Collector should use them on the Healer, which will transfer the eggs to the Healer’s inventory. The Healer will have to use the eggs on Poison Craters, then transfer the eggs to the Attacker.

The Attacker will add Spikes near the eggs by picking the spikes first from the Spiked Mushrooms. After that, he should transfer the eggs to the Defender.

The Defender will have to use the eggs on the Lava Craters, then transfer them to the Collector.

Now the Collector should bring the Omega eggs to the Cannon and start shooting the Queen until she is dead.

Keep doing that until you have 375 points in each role, so you can obtain your Fighter Torso.

Notes

• Each player will have to repeat his job every 30 seconds, so don’t lose your attention.
• Always ask for changing your role if you have reached the 375 points during the game.
• Try to do your best, so you get the points faster.
• Assign 2 healers in the Queen phase to make it much easier.
