Want to take a break from the OSRS main game, and try out some fun variants? Well – it sounds like a RuneScape private server is just for you! If you’re unfamiliar with RuneScape private servers (otherwise known as RSPS), they’re user-made servers of RuneScape, modified in special ways to make the game more enjoyable. There’s bound to be one for you!

As there are thousands upon thousands of RuneScape private servers out there, it can become quite daunting to pick which ones for you. Don’t panic – as we’ve tried and tested a multitude of RuneScape private servers and made a comprehensive list of our favorites. Let’s jump straight into them!

Table of Contents

1. Etherum RSPS

First up – Etherum RSPS! If you’re unaware, Etherum RSPS is the longest active RuneScape private sever out, running for over 8 years! There’s plenty of reasons why hundreds of players choose Etherum RSPS each and every day. To start it off, the game content is very extensive – you’ll never be bored!

For all of you who love PvP, Etherum RSPS is the place to be. They’ve got regular tournaments that can be exchanged for OSRS Gold, available for the top 10 finishers! Furthermore, if you want to jump straight into the action, you can simply set your own combat level, get free supplies and go to the wilderness.

And once you’re in the wilderness, you can use the highly developed bounty hunter system, in which you can get assigned a specific target, with various rewards of you can take them down. If you’re trying to spice up your PvP experience, you can also either red skull or black skull. The red skull doubles your rewards, yet you lose all items on death! The black skull, however, increases your rewards, yet makes it so you can’t leave the wilderness during combat.

Another great part of Etherum RSPS has to be the bosses. Etherum RSPS has a wide variety of bosses for you to slay, all of which can be tracked via the interactive NPC Kill Tracker.

To top it off, Etherum RSPS has amazing skilling mechanics. For example, when you’re grinding out slayer, all you need to do is enter a quick command and you’ll be teleported straight to your slayer area. How great is that? Additionally, Etherum RSPS have a prestige system. It works similarly to other games’ prestige systems, in which you can reset your skills (in Etherum RSPS – your non-combat skills) up to 20 times. Every hour of skilling gets you 1,000 prestige points, and every time your prestige, you get 100 million gold, multiplied by the amount of times your prestige. Visit the prestige store to spend your prestige points!

2. Zenyte RSPS

Next up – Zenyte RSPS! Now, Zenyte RSPS is especially interesting, because you can play it on any android device! Yes, you heard that right. You can play a RuneScape private server – on your phone! Let’s go through a few reasons why people choose to play Zenyte RSPS. Zenyte RSPS is known for their immersive bossing experience, which we’ll touch on a bit.

If you’re familiar with OSRS, you would be familiar with the Inferno – RuneScape’s biggest solo challenge. Zenyte RSPS features their very own Inferno, allowing you to try it out. After sacrificing a fire cape, you can face the difficult 69 waves, leading up the final boss, the TzKal-Zuk, in which if you defeat, you’ll earn an infernal cape! There’s also a 1 in 100 chance of getting the pet as well, with a 1 in 75 chance if you’re on slayer task.

As seen in OSRS, the Chambers of Xeric can also be found in Zenyte RSPS. If you’re unfamiliar with the Chambers of Xeric, it’s a large cave style raid, with challenge rooms that you must progress through to battle the final boss, in the hopes of attaining one of the coveted prizes. Lucky for you, the RuneScape private server version of the Chambers of Xeric is the exact same as the main game, therefore the skills are transferrable!

And finally, we can’t go without mentioning Wintertodt. Yes, the Zenyte OSRS Private Server has Wintertodt! Wintertodt is a boss that you defeat via your skills, not your combat. To do so, you’ll work in a team to subdue the Wintertodt, and if success, receive crates with rewards inside them. Additionally, there’s a chance to get one of the most impressive looking pets in the whole game – the Phoenix, which you can get at a rate of 1 in 3750.

3. RoatPkz RSPS

Moving on, we’ve got RoatPkz RPSS. As Zenyte RSPS is notable for its bossing, RoatPkz RSPS is known for its amazing PvP gameplay. So, let’s take a dive into a few features of RoatPkz RSPS, as it may be the RuneScape private server for you!

Our personal favourite feature of RoatPkz RSPS has got to be the achievements system. There are nearly a thousand achievements for players to unlock in their RoatPkz RSPS journey, ranging from things such as zerker kills, to achievements like wildy key events. Best of all, every achievement has a set of rewards attached to it, which makes it even better! And even if you’re not a PvP type of player, there are still PvM, skilling and other miscellaneous achievements to unlock.

Similar to OSRS, RoatPkz RSPS features ‘Last Man Standing,’ which is a PvP battle royal type of minigame, which puts players against each other in a massive arena holding up to 23 players. In the arena, which is actually an island, you’ll need to loot your gear and head into battle, with the aims of being the last man standing.

There’s three modes of ‘Last Man Standing’ for you to access: the casual mode, which is free and doesn’t affect your Last Man Standing (LMS) Elo, the competitive mode, which costs 250 PKP, with the winner taking the majority of everyone’s’ PKP deposits, and the high stakes mode, which costs 5000 PKP, with the winner take a large majority of the PKP deposited. The latter two count to your LMS Elo though, so be careful!

Taking a break from PvP, RoatPkz RSPS has various skills for you explore. There’s fishing, cooking, mining, smithing, agility, woodcutting, fire making, thieving, crafting and fletching. If that’s not enough – there’s enhanced exp rates! The exp rates are different to each skill, but roughly correspond to 5-10x exp rates in comparison to the main OSRS. Furthermore, there’s a bunch of skilling pets for you to attain, to show off how great of a skiller you are. There are also skilling points up for grabs, which you can gain by trading in your skilling goodies. From there, you can trade them into PKP, the main currency of the game.

4. DreamScape RSPS

To finish off this list of the best OSRS Private Servers, we’ve got a fan favourite – DreamScape RSPS! With DreamScape RSPS, you can reap the benefits of an active development team, with updates rolling out every few days! Let’s go through a few of our favourite features and see if anything piques your interest!

If you’ve played OSRS before, you’re bound to have tried the Barrows boss. Well, just like in OSRS, DreamScape RSPS has their very own Barrows for you to try. In Barrows, you’ll have to work your way through a series of crypts, in which you will encounter 6 of the Barrows

DreamScape RSPS features a mega rare drop table which is bound to get all players excited. Think about it – in addition to your normal grinding of slaying monsters, you can also have a chance to land a mega rare item that sets you up for a very long time! In order to activate these mega rare drop tables, you’ll need to pay a small fee to an NPC and get grinding. Now, DreamScape RSPS starts to deviate from OSRS (in a good way!) in regard to pets. Yes, you’ll be able to get Barrows themed pets in DreamScape RSPS. And these pets provide you bonuses to assist you on your journeys.

For example, the Ahrim Jr pet gives you a 1 in 10 chance of hitting twice with a magic attack. The Dharock Jr pet causes your average damage dealt to increase as your health lowers (Just like Dharock!). The Guthans Jr pet heals you, the Karil Jr pet reduces the enemy’s magic level, the Verac Jr pet allows you to have a chance to hit ignoring the boss armour. And finally, the Torag Jr pet speeds up your special attack recovery by 3 times! So, what are you waiting for? Jump on DreamScape RSPS and get your hands on all the barrows pets!

Conclusion

And there you have it – our comprehensive list of all our favourite OSRS Private Severs. Interested in any servers you see? Make sure you download them and have a try for yourself!

Just like the RuneScape private servers, the original RuneScape game can be just as fun. However, with the majority of the content locked behind high level gear, which is quite costly, players may not be able to afford them.

Instead of grinding for hours, doing boring, tedious tasks that generate minimal rewards, you can also buy RuneScape gold, and access the fun part faster!
