Crafting Writs in ESO are very important for casual & veteran players alike, since they’re the fastest and most profitable daily activity you can take part in – and what’s even better – you can complete all 7 crafting writs with each character separately, for even greater profit and rewards!
Unlocking the daily crafting writs is not too straightforward for new players, and even veterans like me can forget where each quest giver is located! Therefore this guide aims to clean up any confusion, and set you up on the fastest path to unlock all crafting writs for each of your characters – and when you want to do it with 10 characters, even seconds matter!
I’m also listing a quick reference to all the steps, please read the full guide for any further explanation and questions you might have:
The only requirement to unlock Crafting Certification quests, is for your character to have reached Level 6.
It will be fastest to skip the tutorial (if you have completed it at least once before), and get straight to Level 3, then you can choose your preferred starting area.
There’s no real best way to speedrun from Level 3 to 6, your best chance is to pick up side quests, since they are faster to complete than main quests, while offering a better ratio of experience to time. If you are fast, you can get to 6 in less than an hour!
After reaching level 6, the main city’s noticeboards will include the Crafting Certification quest, that can let you get started on your certificates, but you can just skip to the trainers directly, without the need for this step.
If you prefer to visit any Chapter’s main city to receive the Certifications instead, you can go to:
The quest giver for the Alchemy, Enchanting & Provisions Certifications, is Danel Telleno from the Mages Guild. You can find him in the Mages Guild of any Alliance’s starter city capital, and you can receive the 3 certification quests from him, one by one.
The quest giver for the Blacksmithing, Clothing & Woodworking Certifications, is Millenith from the Fighters Guild. You can find her in the Fighters Guild of any Alliance’s starter city capital, and you can receive the 3 certification quests from her, one by one.
Since Jewelry Crafting was introduced in the Summerset Chapter, the quest giver for the Jewelry Crafting Certification is located in Alinor, Summerset, and his name is Felarian. You will find him just outside the Plaza of the Hand, in the South part of the city.
