The King of Fighters '97 GM Characters - Full Roster of 30 Fighters
KOF '97 Global Match is the earliest entry that has been officially released on Steam & PS Now, and we're taking a look at the characters roster!
The King of Fighters ’97 is the 4th entry of the franchise, and the last part of the “Orochi Saga” story arc, that started with ’95, and continued with ’96. It’s also the earliest entry that’s available on Steam & PS4, through the Global Match version released in 2018, 21 years after the original released on July 28, 1997!
Once more the main teams are almost untouched, we get a couple of new faces, and a nice variety of boss characters! It’s worth noting that ’97 offers two different fighting modes, Advanced, that uses ’96’s aggressive gameplay, and Extra, which falls back to the more defensive playstyle in ’94 & ’95.
