The Flux Construct is one of the newest bosses in Tears of the Kingdom; these huge guards operate as protectors of the sky island and can be rather hazardous, especially if you’re just starting out.

Taking the form of a golem-like creature the Flux Construct can shift between three shapes, the golem form which is its original shape, a giant cube that can smash you to death, and a flying base shape that keeps throwing deadly little cubes.  Today, we’re going to show you how to fight these guardians utilizing simply the Ultra Hand function and some simple weaponry.

Golem Form

As is said above the first form the Flux Construct takes is the golem transformation. All you have to do is wait for the golem to teleport to your location, then sprint to avoid its incoming smash attack. If you’re successful, the Golem will freeze for a few seconds, so use the Ultra Hand feature to grab the main cube at the top of the Golem.

The cube can be seen usually at the top of the creature as shown in the pictures. If you can’t reach it, just keep stripping the golem’s cubes until you can. Once removed the Golem will scatter and you can approach the main cube and spam the attack button. After a few seconds of attacking the main cube the Flux Construct will reform bringing us to the next form.

Giant Cube Form

The giant cube Form is as simple as it sounds, it’s a giant cube that follows you around while trying to smash you to death. All you need to do here is keep your distance and use the Ultra Hand to dismantle the cube until you can pull out the main cube. Once again if you’re successful the giant cube will fall apart and you can rush toward the main cube and smash it with whatever you have on your hands.

Flying Base Form

Alright, this form is the trickiest of all three, the Flux Construct will fly above you and turn into a flying base-like shape. The base will use the little cube and shoot it toward you at high speed. You need to be very careful with these cubes since one hit can cost you your life, all you need to do is keep a distance and move out of its reach once the cube hit the floor use the Recall feature on one of these little cubes and ride it to reach the top of the flying base.

Once there, the main cube will be within reach, and you can continue to spam the attack button. Keeping up with the Flux Construct forms one by one will finally lead to its defeat, which delivers us to our prize!

Rewards

As you can see, I obtained a handful of Zonai charges, which will come in handy later in the game, as well as a wheel capsule, which can also be used to make vehicles and other useful machines.
