The Mucktorok is the final boss in the water temple trial; it resembles a huge squid with the ability to manipulate the sludge around it. Mucktorok rides shark-like creatures and unleashes a flurry of ranged attacks when shielded by sludge.

The monster has two phases. The first is where he rides a shark and attacks you while navigating the environment. And the second phase, in which he rains mud over the environment, prevents you from moving around freely. In today’s guide, we’ll show you how to battle this deadly monster and receive your reward step by step.

First Phase

The Mucktorok will manipulate the mud to form a shark and swim around the surroundings in the first phase. Most of its attacks will be ranged, either unleashing a water beam toward you, which can be easily avoided by jumping or sending a massive mud wave, which may be prevented by utilizing Sidon’s shield ability or jumping back until the wave vanishes.

Attacking the monster is equally simple if you understand its weaknesses. Water-based assaults are the monster’s vulnerability; you can utilize Sidon’s ability to shoot a cutting water beam toward the monster, or you can mix items with your bow to create water-based arrows. this can be simply done by combining your arrows with regular Chu Chu jellies, Splash fruits, or even the King Scale.

Hitting the monster with a water-based attack will stun it revealing the Mucktorok’s true form once there use your arrows to stun the Mucktorok one more time and rush down to it spamming the attack button. After a while, the Mucktorok will regain its power, and you will have to repeat the process until it goes down to the second phase.

Second Phase

After taking out the monster’s health to half, the Mucktorok will be enraged splashing the environment with mud. You have to be very careful around the mud since stepping on it will make you slow and unable to dodge the Mucktorok attacks.

The simplest way to get rid of the Mud is to use Sidon’s ability and send slashing water across the mud. Once clean, move quickly and attack the monster with a water-based attack.

Again, successfully hitting the monster with a water-based attack reveals his true form, but this time the Mucktorok will jump around faster to avoid your arrows. You can always use the Keese eyeballs to create homing arrows that hit the moving Mucktorok with ease, or you can rely on your aiming skills and hit it the traditional way.

Once you hit the jumping Mucktorok for the second time, rush and spam that attack button. Again the monster will regain consciousness and use the mud to stop you. Repeat the same process a couple of times until the monster is defeated.
