World of Warcraft Shadowlands - Castle Nathria - Top Specs & Rewards
This is not a guide, just some general information about the raid, as well as the WoW items and rewards you can potentially get. Have fun running the Castle Nathria raid!
Castle Nathria opened to players last month. Due to the various changes in leveling and a rework of the raiding system, challengers have to adapt and make new strategies. Many WoW items and upgrades and maybe even WoW gold are up for grabs in this new raid.
A Brief Intro
Castle Nathria is the lair of Sire Denathrius, a once noble ruler of Revendreth. Now, the sins of those he swore to punish have corrupted him, and he has partnered with the Jailer. He is the cause of the drought of anima in the Shadowlands, so he must be replaced to bring back the land’s former glory.
Join Prince Renathal in his rebellion against his sire in the newest raid in Castle Nathria. The fate of Revendreth lies in your capable hands!
Castle Nathria has two wings and has a total of 10 bosses. The 10 bosses are:
- Huntsman Altimor
- Hungering Destroyer
- Lady Inerva Darkvein
- Artificer Xy’Mox
- Sun King’s Salvation
- Council of Blood
- Stone Legion Generals
- Sire Denathrius
Shriekwing greets the team first. Afterward, your group can decide the order of defeating bosses. Defeating both the Sun King’s Salvation and Artificer Xy’Mox opens the way for the Council of Blood. Beating Huntsman Altimor lets you fight the Hungering Destroyer. Its defeat will lead you to fight Lady Inerva Darkvein.
Once both the Council and Lady Inerva fall in battle, you can fight Sludgefist, the Stone Legion Generals, and Sire Denathrius, in that order.
You can get all kinds of things from this raid. While there are no weapon drops, you may exchange the Spherules bosses drop for a Covenant-themed weapon. Some legendary recipes also have a 100% drop rate here.
Other items of note are:
- Portable Pocket Dimension (a 32 slot bag) from Artificer Xy’Mox
- Charm of Eternal Winter (lets you hypnotize a beast to fight for you) from Huntsman Altimor
- Precisely Calibrated Chronometer (tells the time designation of the local world) from Artificer Xy’Mox
- Most Regal Signet of Sire Denathrius (slows down the rate you incur the Eye of the Jailer) from Sire Denathrius
More than that, there are also achievements and titles to gain when completing this raid. The Glory of the Nathria Raider achievement will even reward you with a mount! If your guild is one of the lucky first 100 to complete the raid in Mythic difficulty, you get the ‘Famed Slayer of Denathrius’ title. Outside of that, you get the ‘Sinbreaker’ title just by beating Sire Denathrius on Mythic.
You can also get a pet sword from this raid. It’s Sire Denathrius’ sword, the Will of Remornia. You can only have one though. Lastly, Night Fae players can get a Soulshift shape from Denathrius, the Veilwing Soul.
