In an ocean of free-to-play mobile games, there are only so many good games, including DragonHeir: Silent Gods. As you probably already know the game follows your journey after your soul has been stripped from you. So, to better handle this newfound situation, here’s a beginner’s guide to help you along the way.

Table of Contents

Creating your character

Being an RPG, Dragoheir: Silent Gods the first need to create a character after you wake up in the Soul Plane. There are four races to choose from: Human, Elf, Dwarf, and Lizardfolk. If you’re unsure of whom to pick, I would suggest picking up the Human, as it has the most balanced stats out of all four races. In addition to this, you will need to choose an origin, customize your appearance, and of course your attributes.

Following the established RPG rules, the higher the number the better, and the bigger the bonus. It also affects the corresponding skill checks during your journey and encounters in the game.

Human character has good strength and Constitution stats at 10, while the other stats start at 11. This means that there aren’t that many disadvantages to your other rolls. Later in the game, you will have the option of what you want to focus on and also work on your back story.

Main (and Side) Quests and Daily Commissions

The first few quests in the game are story quests, as the game starts to open up, drawing you further in. You must complete the main quests, to unlock the new areas. Once you get to the side quests, you can use those for exploration and to familiarize yourself with the world. This is one of the fastest ways to get comfortable with the game and open additional features and gameplay.

The main quests will see you traveling all over the map, thus increasing your Journey Level and allowing you to raise your level cap. However, you also shouldn’t overlook the daily commissions as they can bring in plenty of rewards and XP points.

Also, be sure to participate in the various events and challenges that the game throws your way. Be sure to explore and talk to almost every NPC early on, as they can give you additional rewards and lore about the world.

By completing the Daily Commissions you will also increase your Adventure Rank (which acts as your overall level), which unlocks even more rewards, and prepares you for your adventure ahead. They shouldn’t be ignored and are fairly easy to complete, more importantly, as you level up your AR, you will unlock new areas, dungeons, and story bits.

Summoning

Summoning is one of the key features in the game, you will unlock more summoning features in the form of the various 20-sided die. Each dice roll will give you a random hero, with a unique attack, passive and ultimate move. If you get the hero you already own, you’ll get rewards and items making the roll worth it. Also, all of the characters start at level one, so you would want to use them as soon as possible.

Heroes are divided into 4 rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. The higher the rarity the better the hero and their skills. If you happen to get a Legendary Hero, make sure to keep them and use them immediately. A good strategy would be to level them up as soon as possible, using experience boosts or in auto battles while grinding low-level dungeons. There are a lot of common heroes in the game, and while they’re good early on, later on, be sure to replace them with higher-tier ones.

Team Formation

DragonHeir allows you to have five heroes deployed at once, so make sure to organize them properly. One of the best things to do is, to try to follow the RPG tradition and use DPS, Support, and a Tank hero.

The DPS hero is the one that deals the most damage per second on a single target. Early on that will probably be, Noteera or you can make your character with a similar build.

The Tank will draw most of the damage to himself, and thus protect the rest of the team, so Forbit is perfect for this role. For the support role, early in the game, the best choice is Heksandra, who can heal the team and is a fairly decent character early on. The ideal formation for beginners would be composed of, support in the back, followed by a strong front line consisting of a Tank and a DPS heroes.

These three roles should always be present but also feel free to mix things up, that will suit your playstyle the most. Don’t be afraid to experiment either. Also, the healers are somewhat rare in the game, so be sure to have at least one (Heksandra), to make things easier early on.

Positioning

The key to winning every battle is positioning your team, and learning their advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes you will find enemies in front of you, while in some other situations, they’ll surround you, so positioning and correct tactics are needed to win.

Hero’s damage dealing is divided into several categories and those are, Rally, Summon, Wild, Poison, Summon, Frost, and Dauntless. Each one has a different way of damaging enemies, which means that heroes of the same type in a team, will deal more damage.

This can be easily checked by checking the damage output and making the best possible team. Make sure to place your defenders in the front, as they’ll take most of the damage, while the support is in the back.

One of the first things that you need to learn is to use your ultimate moves correctly and at the right time. You don’t want to waste them at the wrong turn and lose a battle since in some cases it takes a while for them to recharge.

The biggest advantage that you have when using the ultimate move, is that it slows down the battle for a while, allowing you to stock up on other ultimates as well, giving you a huge advantage in the battle.

For example, if you’re character has an AOE attack, it can hit up to nine enemies at once. Level up your character quickly and just watch them obliterate lower-tier enemies. Which brings us to boss fights.

The bosses usually appear at the end of the dungeon or the main quest, but they come with a large variety of spells at their disposal. Make sure to hover over the icons to see what the attack does, and also to time your counters. Dispelling their buffs is critical to winning over boss fights, so plan accordingly.

If the boss is dealing AOE damage, you will have to space out your team, so that they don’t get affected by the spells. Also, you must keep an eye on the boss’s buffs and debuffs and time them before they recharge. In the case that a boss summons their minions, be sure to take them out first, as quickly as possible.

Leveling Up

To level up, you must complete the quests or various challenges that are being offered. You can spend the XP potions that you obtain by completing quests, and later clearing out the Goblin Lairs, but once you hit the level cap, you will need the element gems.

To get the Element Gems that you need, you need to beat the corresponding elements domain, mainly Fire, Frost, Tempest, and Elemental domains. Beating them successfully unlocks the higher stages that will bring in, even more rewards, allowing you to level up quickly.

Make sure to prioritize leveling up heroes, so that you can easily win battles and earn more XP faster. Complete Goblin Lair raids to earn EXP potions, and Elemental Dungeons to break the level cap once their level is high enough. At the beginning of the game, don’t worry too much about the level of the equipment that you have on, but do follow the basics.

Defensive heroes need better armor, damage dealers will need more focus on the attack, and support needs accuracy. Make sure that every hero that you use in a team is fully equipped, and later on, you can upgrade their gear. Upgrades can be expansive, but if you do the quests and raids regularly, this shouldn’t be a problem.

You can also pick up equipment by completing other dungeons, like Catacombs or Ruins. Every time your heroes break the level cap, try to take on dungeons at a higher level. It can be a tiresome process, but the rewards are worth it.

Upgrading Your Heroes

In DragoHeir, each hero has a unique role and feature which can be a huge advantage if used at the right time. As you play the game, you will acquire more heroes, and you might find yourself unable to decide who to put on your team. Always, check each hero’s abilities and ultimates, so you can decide on who is best suited for your playstyle. The recommendation would be to invest in Heksandra early on, as she is the healer and those are somewhat rare in the game.

If you ever find yourself in that position, here are some tips. Early on in the game, look to deploy the heroes of the same elemental affinity. This will give you a larger bonus and allow you to win early battles quickly. However, as the game gets more challenging you will need to swap them out and place heroes with unique abilities, but being relaxed on the elemental abilities.

Also, make sure to create teams for various challenges. Some teams will work better in story quests, while other teams might be better suited for Goblin Raids or Elemental Dungeons. Feel free to experiment as every hero in the game has something to offer and is very powerful.

One important thing to keep in mind is that the Traveler can be the missing puzzle piece for you. Make sure to level them up regularly, because you can switch their elemental powers, and each element has a different set of abilities and skills to offer. If you find yourself struggling, you can consider changing the elemental power of your Traveler and trying a different approach.

Don’t be afraid of failure

Playing the game, you will sooner or later fail at something in the game, but don’t be discouraged. If you happen to fail and then quit, you will be refunded the resources that you spent at the beginning of the challenge. Also, the game will provide several useful tips on how to beat challenges and boss fights, and you can even ask other Travelers for help in completing certain challenges.

Consistency is key in the game, so take advantage of the daily rewards and challenges, and try to complete the raids regularly to collect various rewards. Join an Alliance try to make friends, and also collect rewards. An alliance can give you additional bonuses, and you should seek those that have a lot of members, lots of activity, and with a good level. Some alliances will have a level restrictions or some other type of verification that is needed.

Staying consistent in the game will give you plenty of rewards, and allow you to level up quickly and enjoy the game’s content to its fullest.
