Games are a great mean for having fun. There are countless masterpieces that you can enjoy on your own. But every now and then you will need to lay off with some friends and work together to beat a game.

Overcooked 2 is a cooperative cooking simulation game that is guaranteed to make you laugh. Unless you completely fail. Then you might start calling each other names.?

The goal of the game is to make every dish that appears on the screen correctly and quickly in order to get the max score. Keep in mind that you will have to coordinate with your fellow player(s), as there are numerous preparations to be done in the kitchen before a meal is ready.

Kitchens in the game are far from simple. There will be moving obstacles and you will have to take extra care not to burn your ingredients. The fun aspect of the game is that even when failing, some laughs are guaranteed. So go on, have a minor taste of what working in a kitchen feels like. You are in for a hell of a ride!

Possibly the cutest game in the list, Unravel Two is the sequel to 2016’s Unravel. You regain control of a Yarny, with a minor twist: now there are two Yarnys! Playing solo you get to control both of them, but in co-op, you can share this fun experience with a friend.

Again, you will be tasked to overcome obstacles, solve puzzles and manipulate the world in order to move forward. While not the hardest game we’ve ever played, it will be quite a challenge. The game has very beautiful aesthetics and you will often find yourself captivated by the background. We don’t wanna say much more. Enjoy the game. We are sure you will!

Originally released for the Nintendo 3DS, Resident Evil Revelations and its sequel were a breath of fresh air between the releases of arguably the worst Resident Evil games, RE5 and RE6. The game comes in episodes or the retail form which includes everything.

While of course there is no co-op feature in 3DS, the game’s ports to the consoles and PC are fully equipped with the feature. The campaign can only be played through local split-screen while Raid mode can be played locally or online.

The game has an amazing atmosphere that both players will enjoy. While the graphics are not the best (since this is a port from 3DS after all), it doesn’t affect the gameplay or the experience in any major aspect. Find a friend and take a look at what Claire Redfield and Moira Burton were up to between the events of RE5 and RE6!

12. Far Cry 5

If you are a gamer, chances are that you have played at least one game of the Far Cry series. It is a great franchise that spanned over 3 generations of consoles. That being said it was always a solo enjoyment. Things are different for Far Cry 5, since you can enjoy it with a friend through online co-op.

Wreak havoc at Hope County and take down Joseph Seed, the leader of a doomsday cult. The game itself is insane, with endless possibilities. Needless to say, you will spend some quality time with your friend! I mean, you get to take down a cult with a friend. What else do you need to know?

13. Diablo III: Reaper Of Souls

One of the most critically acclaimed games of the past generation, Diablo III Reaper of Souls is the expansion to the base game as well as the port to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Up to 4 players can play together either Locally or in Online Co-Op. Note that the PC version does not support local co-op. So pick your class and fight hoards of enemies with your friends.

Chances are, one session won’t be nearly enough to fully experience the game. That means you will probably spend many nights in the world of Diablo III with your friends. And why shouldn’t you?

14. Dying Light

Release Date: January 27 2015
Developer: Techland
Publisher: Warner Bros. | Techland Publishing (PC)
Genre: Survival Horror | First-Person | Open-World | Action-Adventure
Players: 1-4
Type: Online
Platforms: Microsoft Windows | Linux | OS X | PlayStation 4 | Xbox One

If I could give my award to the game of the year of 2015, that would be an easy choice. Dying Light is an era-defining game, so well-made that you will never get tired of it.

The story takes place in Haran, where an epidemic outbreak caused the city to be overrun by zombies. During the day it’s quite ok. I mean yes there are zombies everywhere but nothing you can’t handle. The night is a different story though. During the nighttime, the Virals are loose. Hence the game’s motto: “Good Night, Good Luck”.

The game is perfectly played solo but why would you parkour your way around zombies and bash their heads if there’s no one there to see it? Find some friends and go nuts. Nothing better than a Sunday morning with some parkour and zombie killing.

15. Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition

Release Date: March 4 2014
Developer: Climax Studios
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Genre: Shoot’em Up
Players: 1-2
Type: Local | Online
Platforms: PlayStation 4

Pick a friend that you would trust the most during a zombie apocalypse. Give them the second controller and start killing the hoards of zombies coming your way.

Dead Nation was actually released back 2010, but in this article, we are referring to its 2014 remaster for the PlayStation 4, because we feel that it’s a very fun game and should be played in it’s optimized version in order to maximize the experience.

You will get used to how your player moves and shoots quite quickly, so don’t get disheartened if you can’t play well at the start. It is a truly fun game to play with your friend and should be high on your list.

16. Killing Floor 2

Killing Floor 2, Wave-Based Co-Op FPS

Release Date: November 18 2016
Developer: Tripwire Interactive
Publisher: Tripwire Interactive
Genre: First-Person Shooter | Survival Horror
Players: 1-6
Type: Online
Platforms: Microsoft Windows | PlayStation 4 | Xbox One

Continuing on with the zombie games, we have Killing Floor 2. Pay attention to this one if you are a fan of zombie mode of Call of Duty.

The main objective of the game is to fight the hoards of zombies coming at you until you clear the wave. Between rounds, you may use the shop to buy weapons and upgrade them. There’s a boss at the end of the match so get ready to take it down as well.

Now every player can choose a class, varying from healer to tank and damage dealers. There are tones of customization options for your characters and weapons that it’s unlikely you will get tired of the game any time soon.

17. Borderlands 2

Release Date: September 18 2012
Developer: Gearbox Software
Publisher: 2K Games
Genre: First-Person Shooter
Players: 1-4
Type: Online | Local (Consoles)
Platforms: Microsoft Windows | PlayStation 3 | PlayStation Vita | Xbox 360 | OS X | Linux

Team up with 3 friends and enter the amazing world of Borderlands.

Each one of you will assume a role since the game has classes that you can choose from. Shoot, kill, loot and progress as you witness the beautiful cell-shaded graphics of the game and its captivating story.

While the game supports full online co-op in every format, split-screen is available only to consoles for up to 2-player sessions. We highly recommend to play it on PC if you can, as 4-player parties are much better, and you won’t limit your view with split-screen.

Give any of the games above a try and let us know what you think of them in the comment section.
