The PS Vita was made at a time when a single screen with buttons wasn’t enough for a handheld (looking at you Switch!), so Sony made sure to pay attention to Nintendo DS & 3DS’ evolution, as well as the biggest needs of PlayStation users.
Therefore, the Vita ended up offering a wealth of features, namely an OLED touch screen – as well as the handheld’s backside acting as another touch screen – a front & rear camera along with a microphone, a fully-fledged gyroscope with tilt and shake functions, and of course a wealth of connectivity options for PS3 & PS4 consoles.
