Franchise The Legend of Zeldaâ„¢ |
The Awakening Armor Set is one of the newest armors in Tears of the Kingdom. It is inspired by early Zelda games, featuring the trademark green tunic and an overly exaggerated face mask that resembles a chibi Link.
This armor set can be entirely obtained with Amiibos (Link’s Awakening), but it can still be possessed if you have the bravery to tackle various mysteries scattered throughout Hyrule. In today’s article, we’ll show you how to gain the full armor set, which includes the Mask of Awakening, Tunic of Awakening, and Trousers of Awakening.
The Mask of Awakening is located exactly in Thundra Plateau around Hyrule Ridge. Upon arriving at the location you will notice four boulders and a door-like structure on the floor. Our main goal is to trigger certain events to open the door on the Plateau floor.
Next, we need to chop down four trees and glue them up to each other using the Ultra Hand. Once done open your inventory to bring out a stake and stick it to one of the ends to make a big wedge. If you don’t own a Stake go back to one of the Device Dispensers. Now light a fire and sit down until noon.
One more time try to bring the big wedge over one of the pillars, exactly the one that cast his shadow over the secret door on the floor. Our goal is to cast the wedge shadow over the screen door in order to solve the riddle and open it. With a few tries and some patience, you will eventually open the door to the Mask of Awakening treasure chest.
Ancient Columns are located west of the Central Hyrule, head to the exact location marked on the map. Once you’re there you’re going to notice another secret door on the ground similar to the previous one.
All you need to do to open the door is to climb the pillar at your left, once you’re up you’re going to notice a small trap door at the top walk over it to open the secret door down there. Glide down the small opening on the floor and claim your reward!
Our final destination will be Coliseum Ruins, just keep in mind that we’re going to fight a Thunder Gleeok, so make sure to get enough food, arrows, and weapons.
Defeating the Thunder Gleeok is not an impossible task as long as you know what you are doing, the Coliseum makes it easy enough to stun the Gleeok since you can use the pillars around to get a high ground and trigger the slow-motion shoot. Your main goal is to attack each of the Gleeok’s three heads until he’s out cold, after that rush in and spam the attack button, and rinse and repeat until victory is yours.
Once the dragon is defeated look around the round coliseum for a secret door similar to the previous ones, once you find it you’re going to notice a statue next to it. Use the ultra hand to grab a nearby sword and place it in the statue’s hands, once done the secret door will open up revealing the last armor piece location.
