The Travel Medallion is yet another important item in Tears of the Kingdom, but once again, the game does not hold your hand through the process. The travel Medalion allows you to fast travel to any area in Hyrule; simply position it on the desired location and you can fast travel back to that location no matter where you are.

The Medallion can also be updated to include up to two additional medallions that can be placed on the world map. In today’s article, we’ll walk you through the requirements for obtaining the Travel Medallion, as well as how to upgrade it to own up to three medallions at the same time.

To start the Medallion quest, you must have completed the Camera main quest, the AutoBuild quest, and finally the Sensor quest. After completing all of these gadget quests, return to Hateno Ancient Tech Lab and speak with Robbie. He will recommend many improvements and gadgets to you. To begin the quest, select the Travel Medallion.

When you begin the quest, Robbie will ask you to obtain his Travel Medallion Prototype from the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab; the location of the lab will be marked on your map, so you won’t need any directions or guides. When you arrive, try to open the door, which will notify the Yiga warriors inside the building. Kill the two Yiga warriors and return to the Lab. Once inside, look for a white treasure chest and open it to reveal the Travel Medallion Prototype.

Return to Hateno Ancient Tech Lab once more and give Robbie the Travel Medallion Prototype; a short conversation sequence will begin, and you will receive your precious travel medallion.

How to Get More Travel Medallions?

You can speak with Robbie one more time to upgrade the Travel Medallion; he will request 10 map data locations in order to add two more Medallions. All you have to do is continue exploring Hyrule; each Sky View Tower counts as one map data location, thus you must activate ten Sky View Towers. When you’re done, return to Robbie and he’ll offer you two more Travel Medallions.
