Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Zonaite Armor Set

The Zonaite Armor set is one of the most important armor sets in Tears of the Kingdom. It provides a battery boost, allowing you to operate your machines without worrying about how much energy you’re using. Because the armor is so valuable, obtaining each piece requires the player to visit three separate sky islands and solve several puzzles. In today’s guide, we’ll walk you through the locations of all three armor parts, as well as the requirements for obtaining each one.

How to Get the Zonaite Helm?

Our first destination will be Lightcast Island, in order to get to this island we need some large Zonaite charges and a couple of building capsules. I started from Courage Island using two fans and a control stick, I used a couple of Large Zonaite Charges to keep me flying on this long journey, keep in mind that the Island is pretty far away so don’t underestimate the distance.

Once you’re on the top of the Island look for a large circular monument similar to the ones on the temples, approach it, and use the A button to activate it. Activating the circular monument will drain the island of water, now we need to reach for that light on the other side.

Follow the light coming from the tower until you find a secret room beneath the island, at the entry there are a bunch of rocks destroy them and keep going. Once you’re in we need to use the Ultra Hand to move the mirrors and cast the light over to the other mirrors, just keep tilting the mirror until you find the next one. After that move to the next one and do the same thing, once more time and so on. The last mirror will be casting the light down to the ground.

Follow the light that goes down, you’re going to notice a guardian down there, shoot him down and glide your way down to his location. The guardian will drop a mirror shield, pick up the shield and use it to reflect the light toward that circular thing, if successful the room will open up lighting all the surroundings.

Now all you need to do is use Ascend to get up to the treasure chest that contains the Zonaite Helm.

How to Get the Zonaite Waistguard?

Our next destination will be the Zonaite Forge Island, just like the previous one this island is pretty high, so we need some hacks to get there. My method was to warp down to North Necluda and from there use a device to fly down to my left side. You’re going to notice an island with a giant waterfall coming out from it keep going until you’re close and use the Zora armor to climb the waterfall all the way up to the sky island surface.

Now that you’re on the top you’re going to notice a large flying platform, defeat the guardian on the top of it, and use the Ultra Hand to place the two rockets on the platform side. Activate the rockets to fly up in the sky, now the Zonaite Forge Island will be very close to your reach all you need to do is glide down toward it.

Land on the yellow island with the big circular monument, triggering it will activate a huge gush of wind around the island. Use the wind to glide your way up to the summit of the island.

Once you reach the top we need to equip our glide armor set, if you don’t own one don’t worry we got you covered in this guide. After equipping the armor you need to skydive down that big hole at the center of the island, keep in mind that you need to avoid the laser beams while gliding down, if you touch a laser beam by mistake use your glider to get back on the top and retry.

If successful you’re going to fall down a large volcanic area, just right behind the temple throw a bunch of Chu Chu Jelly or any water-based material toward the lava to create a solid platform. Get on the area and use Ascedn to access the treasure secret room and claim the Zonaite Waistguard.

How to Get the Zonaite Shin Guards?

Our last destination will be Sky Mine Island, you can start from Sokkala Sky Archipelago where you will find a prebuilt flying machine, add some battery and you’re good to go. As always glide your way down to the island and activate the circular monument, activating it will run the machines on the island allowing you to move from one island to the other using the throwing machines.

Ride the throwing machine on the first island, once launched glide your way down to the second island, now you need to move the throwing machine in parallel with the third island. Once more time ride the machine and glide your way down to the third island.

On the third island, you’re going to notice a giant flying platform, land on it, and use the rockets to move it outside of the island range. Glide down back to the island and move the throwing machine in parallel with the giant ball in the sky. Use the ultra hand to put the cubes on the throwing machine, our goal is to throw the cube inside the giant ball, if you miss your shot don’t worry there are plenty of cubes on the island to keep trying.

Once you’ve put the cube inside the ball, ride the throwing machine to get inside the ball. Inside the ball use the Ultra Hand one more time to put weight on the trap door at the ground. Activating the trap door will make the ball rotate, once more time jump outside the giant ball and keep gliding until you notice a second hole in the ball, get in to claim the last piece of the Zonaite Armor Set.
