The Lightscale Trident is a powerful spear in Tears of the Kingdom. This spear, previously wielded by many heroes of Zora Domain, is regarded as one of Zora’s legendary weapons. Its primary strength remains its ability to increase its power when the wielder is wet by rain or using Sidon’s ability. Today’s guide will walk you through the steps of crafting the Lightscale Trident, including every item needed.

Table of Contents

Visit the Blacksmith at Zora Domain

Assuming you have already finished Zora Domain’s main quest and the Temple of Water. Our first destination will be the blacksmith at Zora Domain. Upon talking to the blacksmith Dento he will ask you to bring him a Zora Spear, Three Diamonds, and five pieces of flints in order to make the Lightscale Trident.

Zora Spear Location

Getting the Zora Spear might be a little bit challenging since there is no specific place to get it. The easiest way to get the spear is to farm Like Likes inside the caves across Zora Domain, the Like Like have a medium chance of dropping a Zora Spear when killed, so don’t lose hope when it doesn’t, just keep looking inside the caves until you’re lucky enough to get one.

How to Get the Diamonds?

Diamonds can be required by just mining around caves or at Goron, but this method will require a lot of time since diamond is very rare. Another approach is farming Taluses these giant monsters can drop a diamond when defeated but still, the chance is very minimal. The last method which I prefer is simply visiting Goron and buying the diamond, if you’re short on Rupees you can follow our guide here on how to farm Rupees easily.

How to Get Flints?

Out of all the three component flints are the easier to find, you can just visit any cave around Hyrule and break the little black rocks to farm flints. These little pieces can come in handy both for crafting quests and when firing a camp to pass the time.

Making the Lightscale Trident

Now that you have acquired all the required components, return to the blacksmith at Zora domain and hand him the three items. Now the legendary Spear will be handed to you, as you can see the spear has 22 attack power in idle mode, but when Link is under the rain or using Sidon’s ability the spear attack power will jump to 44 making it one of the best base spears in Tears of the Kingdom.
