Majora’s Mask returns as a love letter to The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask fans, this little mask offers a beautiful tribal look when worn, but also provides a good way to avoid being detected by other monsters. Although the mask can be obtained easily by scanning Majora Mask Link Amiibo, there is an alternate method if you don’t have the Amiibo. Today’s article will teach you how to earn Majora’s Mask and what tasks you must complete before you can obtain it.

Table of Contents

Majora’s Mask Location

Floating Coliseum

The Majora Mask treasure chest is located deep within the depth, the easiest way to get there is by simply getting down from the Forest of Time Chasm, once you’re down take the west road while activating any lightroot that you find in your way. eventually, you are going to notice a huge floating monument that’s where the treasure chest is waiting for you.

Build a Flying Machine to Get up the Floating Coliseum

To ascend toward the Floating Coliseum, we must construct a flying machine. The simplest way to construct one is to connect two fans to a steering stick. Keep in mind that the fans must be slightly tilted when attached to the steering stick; otherwise, the machine will be difficult to fly or will not work at all.

The Floating Coliseum Challenge

Preparations

Now that you are in the floating coliseum all you need to do is descend near the treasure chest in order to begin the challenge. Now keep in mind that you will need to fight several Lynels here and the difficulty raise each time you defeat one of them.

Bring the Strongest Weapons

So make sure to be well-equipped, we need the strongest weapons that you can bring with you. I hugely recommend one-handed weapons since it would be easy to raise your guard and attack at the same time.

Bomb Flowers

Second, make sure to bring enough Bomb Flower since the last Lynel will be a huge problem if you don’t have bombs to break his armor.

Sundelions

Cook a lot of sundelions since the Lynels here are no joke, their damage is not only physical but the Gloom can also stop you from healing. So make sure to cook a lot of sundelions before attempting this trial.

Multiple Shot Bows are Super Effective

Last but not least make sure to bring stronger bows, I hugely recommend farming Lynels on the surface for x3 bows, you can also craft The Great Eagle Bow if you don’t want to confront Lynels. Arrows can also be easily purchased from many stores across Hyrule or you can farm them using our guide here.

Confronting the Lynels

Close Ranged Combat Tips

If you like close-ranged combat make sure to equip yourself with a strong one-handed weapon and a worthy shield since we are going to guard a lot. Your main strategy here is to raise your guard and wait for the Lynel to attack you, once the Lynel gives you an opening smash the attack button, rinse, and repeat. If you’re confident enough you can evade the Lynel attack at the right time to trigger a Flurry Rush, once successful all you need to do is smash the attack button to give the Lynel a taste of your mighty sword.

Ranged Combat

If you’re taking too much damage when you’re attempting close-ranged combat you can retreat and use your bow. A successful shot to the Lynel’s face will leave him stunned allowing you to approach and ride him to deal some extra damage. If you’re not confident in your aiming skills you can use Keese Eyeballs to make a homing arrow that will hit its target no matter how you shoot it.

In addition to all these well-known tricks you can use the terrain to your favor by simply climbing the stairs at the side of the Coliseum, once you’re up make a jump while shooting to trigger a slow-motion shoot, merging your arrows with strong items will cost the Lynel some huge damage, especially when using bomb arrows against the Armored Lynel.

Note: Keep in mind that you can place a Travel Medallion at the coliseum location and leave between each fight to gear up and bring more Food and Elixirs. You can also save your progress between each Lynel so that you can retry every time you die.

Majora’s Mask

After fighting all Lynels, you’ll be rewarded with various Lynel Bows, numerous fusion items, and the legendary Majora’s Mask. Wearing this mask will make it difficult for monsters to detect you unless you get extremely close, plus it will give you a badass look as a throwback to the good old days.
