The Climbing Gear returns in Tears of the Kingdom, with nearly the same stats and benefits as in the previous game. Acquiring the entire set increases Link’s climbing speed and provides a decent defensive boost when compared to other sets. In today’s guide, we’re going to walk you through every armor set location including the Climbing Gear, the Climbing Boots, and the Climber’s Bandana.

How to get The Climbing Gear?

The climbing gear is located southwest of Hyrule Castle, once you’re at the marked location on the screenshot you’re going to notice a cave entry, that’s where our treasure is hidden.

Once in, you’re going to notice two giant worm caves, eliminate the worms and proceed to use ascend on the rocks that the middle worm was hanging from.

Once up keep going further inside the cave until you notice the last small waterfall, use your glider or swim your way toward the small waterfall, just right behind it you’re going to find the Climbing Gear.

How to Get the Climbing Boots?

The Climbing Boots gear is located on the Upland Zorana Byroad cave west of the Zora domain. Just keep in mind that the cave is full of monsters, so make sure to get ready before entering.

Once you’ve arrived at the designated spot, enter the cave. You’ll encounter a swarm of Horiblins, so take care of them before proceeding. Continue until you reach a closed entry with vines on it, then use a throwing weapon to cut the vines and swim onward.

As you keep going inside the cave you’re going to encounter two cave worms, eliminate them and continue. Once again there are a bunch of vines blocking the way; use your sword to cut them.

Now you’ll discover a vast area flooded with water; proceed to the opposite side of the room until you reach a large door; use the Ultra Hand to raise it up. When you lift the door, the water level drops, allowing you to find the treasure room. You’ll notice a large stair on your right; get underneath it to find an entry to the second armor piece treasure room.

How to Get the Climber’s Bandana?

The Climber’s Bandana is located in Polymus Mountain Cave near Zora’s domain. There are two ways to get the last piece, either you make a strong sticky elixir or equip the previously acquired climbing gear. The walls on the cave are super slippy, so you’re going to be fast and use the jumping ability to get up fast before slipping. The pointy cliffs will help you to gain some stamina in between climbs, so keep going from one cliff to the other until you reach the upper side of the cave. Once there the treasure room will be clearly visible.
