Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Red Pillars Puzzle in Gerudo

After visiting Gerudo and advancing on the main quests you will eventually need to solve the Red Pillars riddle, the riddle says: “Standing back to back with the throne, witness red pillars across a vast sea. Unite the pillars in light to reveal the lightning stone and open the way. You who can hear my voice come to me. I await you.”

In today’s guide, we’ll walk you through the solution to these riddles step by step until you locate the path that leads to the lighting temple.

Our first stop will be at Gerudo Town, where we will climb the tower over the palace until we can see the desert from above. Once there, look for the first red pillar north of Gerudo town. To reach the red pillar, use your glider and jump. When you reach your first pillar, you’ll notice a breakable floor beneath it; jump and break it with a hammer weapon. Breaking the pebbles reveals an incredible light that spreads over the sky.

Now for the second pillar just ahead of you, you will find a vigorous air venting from the ground use it to glide up and look up for the second tower. As you can see on the image you can easily locate the tower and head toward its direction.

Once there, you’ll need to breach the dirt to reveal a slew of valuable goods, then use the handles and levitating stones to transport them all the way to the pillar’s peak. Stick the handles to one of the levitating stones, strike it to fly, then use the Ultra Hand to move it up. Climb the first platform, use the Ultra Hand to transport the stone to the peak once more, then climb once more to the summit. Grab the stone and the handles once more with Ultra Hand. All that remains is for you to use the handles to fix the wheel on top of the pillar. But we’re going to need the third pillar light to make this tower work.

Our third destination is the third tower, follow the direction of the first tower light until you find the tower. As you man notice it’s buried underneath, juts ahead of it you will find a mechanical wheel spin it to bring the tower up, and voila! the light had been deflected.

Return to the second tower, which has a mechanical wheel on its top, and spin it to create a triangle of light for the final time. Now you can clearly see an entry right in the middle of the triangle of light.
