Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Lightning Helm & Earthquake Manual

The Lightning Helm is one of the most valuable items in Tears of the Kingdom, it offers complete protection from lightning attacks which makes some boss battles like the Thunder Gleeok so much easier. The Earthquake Manual offers an alternative way to attack without the need for any weapon, all you need to do is hold the attack button to unleash an earthquake attack.

Link can get the Lightning helm, the Earthquake Manual, and the Yiga Clan fabric by completing three challenges at the Yiga Clan Hideout. Today we’ll guide you through the prerequisite on how to get inside the Yiga Clan hideout and the requirement on how to complete each challenge.

The Yiga Clan Hideout Location

The Yiga Clan Hideout is located Southeast of Gerudo Highlands, however upon visiting it the guards will not let you in unless you have the full Yiga armor set on. The complete Yiga Armor Set can be obtained easily by visiting three locations around Hyrule, if you don’t own it you can simply follow our guide here on how to get each armor piece. Upon arriving at the doors simply put on the armor and knock on the door. The guard will see you and open the door.

The Yiga Clan Trial

In order to start the Yiga Clan trial head to the right of the Yiga Blademaster standing in front of you. Keep going in the rooms until you find a huge room with a white ceiling, use Ascend to get up on the ceiling, that’s where you’re going to find the NPC who triggers the three Yiga trials.

How to Get the Yiga Fabric?

The first challenge will be quite easy, the Yiga Blademaster will ask you to defeat three combatants in under one minute. After defeating three warriors the Blademaster will reward you with the Yiga Fabric.

How to Get the Earthquake Manual?

Talking back to the Yiga Blademaster will trigger the second challenge, this time you need to defeat six members in under one minute. If you’re successful you get the Earthquake Manual, this allows you to use an earthquake attack similar to the Yiga warriors without the need of any weapon, so this manual allows you to attack without the need of any weapon at all.

How to Get the Lightning Helm?

The last challenge is hard so you need to gear up with a powerful sword/spear and head back to the hideout. This time you need to defeat nine combatants in under one minute, if you’re successful you will get the Lightning Helm. This precious item offers 100% protection from thunder, so you don’t have to worry about storms, or the Thunder Gleeok as long as you’re wearing it.
