Keese Eyeballs are almost as valuable as arrows; these small things can save your life in critical situations, especially during boss battles. When fused with arrows, Keese Eyeballs transform the arrow into a homing arrow that hits the monster’s weak spot and largely stuns it. Going into battle without Keese Eyeballs is nearly a suicide mission, therefore we’ve put up a guide on how to farm Keese Eyeballs in the most practical and easy way.

Table of Contents

Preparations

Going out to hunt Keeses we need two important items, a bunch of arrows, and bomb flowers. If you don’t have any Bomb Flowers you can visit the depth and collect as much as you can before going out on the hunt. Last but not least I hugely recommend using the Sensor+ to detect nearby Keeses, this will save a lot of time especially when hunting down Keese hordes during the night.

YunoboCo HQ

Our first destination will be YunoboCo HQ and the surroundings of Goron, all you need to do is warp your way down there, light a camp, and sit until the night. Now you can either keep roaming looking for a huge hoard of Keeses, or you can use the Sensor+ to easily detect the horde location. Once you detect the horde fuse a Flower Bomb with your arrows, and shoot down these bad boys, mostly one shot will take down a huge chunk of the horde but you can act fast and shoot down the remaining ones before they run away.

Hyrule Field

Hyrule Field is the second best spot to hunt down Keese Eyeballs, just like in Goron the Keeses only spawn at night so make sure to light a camp and wait for the night to come. As you can see on my screenshots I followed the Sensor+ down until I found a huge horde of them, like always bomb arrows to the sky and they fell down directly to the water, I jumped and collected my reward.

Random Caves

The third best way to farm Keese Eyeballs is by visiting random caves, upon stepping into a cave there is always a small chance that a horde of Keese will spawn. You need to act fast and arrow bomb the horde before they fly away.

Tobio’s Hollow Cave

If you prefer to hack and slash your way through Keeses, Tobio’s Hollow Cave is your best bet after each Blood Moon you can visit the cave to hunt down up to eight Keeses. All you need to do is keep going down the cave hacking each and every Keese that come your way.
